Preachers Fall Short, 6-5, at Wichita Falls
|
Wichita Falls starter Símaco Montes pitched well against the Abilene Preachers at Yardmen Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-5. In 7 innings, Montes surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Wichita Falls is in third place in the Western Association Abilene Circuit with a record of 28-32.
With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Manuel Alejo had a game-changing hit. The Yardmen catcher slammed a run-scoring single off Matt Tulk, making the score 6-4, Wichita Falls.
