Preachers Win with Late Rally
The Abilene Preachers earned a close win over the Wichita Falls Yardmen, thanks in part to Lázaro Carrillo. The Abilene right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the FBL-WA with a 1.12 WHIP, played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-2 victory. In 10 innings, Carrillo surrendered 10 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. At 22-27, the Preachers are currently third in the Western Association Abilene Circuit.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 30-year old catcher Rafael Román had a chance to be the hero. Wichita Falls pitcher Íñigo León wanted to foil that plan. But with two outs, Román got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Preachers had themselves a thrilling win.

"Lázaro is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Abilene manager Mauricio García.
