José Romero knocked in 3 runs to help Abilene beat Wichita Falls, 6-4. Romero produced 2 singles and 1 home run. Flavio Luis picked up the win with 9 innings of work. Romero had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 curveball from Álvaro Figueroa, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Preachers a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Romero.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Abilene manager Mauricio García.
