Cadavers Get Clutch Win, 10-9
The San Marcos Cadavers beat the New Braunfels Yodelers by a score of 10-9. San Marcos center fielder Evaristo Velázquez deserved the lion's share of the credit. Velázquez was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs for the Cadavers. Reliever Álvaro Sánchez picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Ciriaco González, who is tied for 9th in the FBL-EA in wins with 4, took the loss. The Yodelers fall to 9-17 and continue their sputtering start to the 1905 season.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 31-year old left fielder Hernán Luna had a chance to be the hero. New Braunfels pitcher Ciriaco González wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Luna hit a sacrifice fly. The Cadavers had themselves a thrilling win.

"We came out aggressive," said Cadavers manager Julio Naranjo. "We came out swinging the bats."
