Gardiner Hits 2 home runs in Pecan Kings Win
Kyle Gardiner made an impact in the 9-6 Tyler win over Galveston. Gardiner, who is tied for 5th in the FBL-EA in home runs with 3, went 2-3 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Picking up his 2nd save was 33-year old left-handed pitcher Loquillo Martínez. The setback makes the Gulls 9-15.

Ernesto Ornelas had a big run-scoring double for the Pecan Kings in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Tyler leading 4-3 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Marcos Castillo and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pecan Kings ahead, 5-3.

"We maximized our offense today," said Tyler skipper Nicolás Ornelas. "That makes everyone's life easier."
