Steinbach Makes It 9 Straight with 4-3 Win
The Steinbach Mennonites knocked off the Saskatoon Willows, 4-3, in Plains League action at Steinbach Grounds. Steinbach pitcher and Dorado, Puerto Rico, native Enrique Ruiz had an outstanding performance. The win lifts Steinbach to a record of 9-1.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Tomás Martínez had a chance to end it. Saskatoon pitcher Miguel Ángel Garza had other ideas. But with two outs, Martínez hit a run-scoring single. The Mennonites had the win.

"It's great to be on a roll," said Ruiz.
