Despite the rain, the fans at Parquecito de Villalba enjoyed a good ballgame.
Ernesto Silva, who is tied for 4th in the LJP in innings pitched with 44.2, imposed his will on the Aprendices from the get-go. Relying mainly on his splitter, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Villalba triumph. With the loss, Guayama falls to 9-7.
Silva gave Villalba a first-rate performance. The 1.78 m right-hander permitted 1 run on 4 hits over 9 innings of work.
