Corozal beat Aguas Buenas in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Corozal pitcher Felipe López did his part in helping his team defeat the Aguas Buenas Testarudos, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Corozal is off to a hot start at 10-5.
Corozal used the timely hitting of Luis Ramírez to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Maduritos on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Ramírez.
