Wet weather did not postpone the San German-Ponce ballgame.

The San German Hermosos picked up a win at Parquecito de Ponce, topping the Ponce Hidalgos, 8-5. On the mound for San German was right-hander Ángel Olivo. He played a principal role in the triumph. Olivo, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Jason Darby closed it out for his 1st save.

San German used the hitting of Ramón Rodríguez to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Hermosos on top, 2-0. For the game, Rodríguez had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said San German manager Alfredo Camacho.

Early on, the Hermosos, at 11-4, have excelled.
