Yabucoa and Loiza put this game in the books despite some rain.

The Yabucoa Dulceros topped the Loiza Vejigantes, 10-7, with first baseman Admeto Meza playing a big role. Meza went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Dulceros in the win. The Dulceros improved their record to 13-21 by beating Loiza.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Meza delivered big-time for Yabucoa, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Pascual Montes. The game-changing hit put the Dulceros on top, 9-7.

Dulceros manager Cástico Beberra wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
