Loiza played host to Caguas at Estadio de los Vejigantes.
Loiza registered a win at Estadio de los Vejigantes by beating the Caguas Coquis, 7-4. Pitcher Amadís Ramos was one reason why the Vejigantes triumphed. Loiza is now 90-78.
José López had a big 2-run double for the Vejigantes in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Loiza leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a circle change from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Cirilo García and swatted a double to left. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vejigantes ahead, 3-0.
"Not the sexiest win," said Vejigantes manager Édgar Reyes, "but I'll take it."
