A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Ceiba Picudos and Maunabo Artilleros.

Ceiba Picudos starter Sancho Rodrigues had all his pitches working at Recinto Atlético del Sureste. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Ceiba win over the Maunabo Artilleros. Rodrigues got the win, improving to 18-25. He gave up 7 hits and walked 0 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs.

The Picudos got a lift from left fielder Teucro González, who in the top of the fourth stroked a 1-1 cutter to center for a 2-run single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Picudos ahead, 5-2.
