Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the San Juan Metropolitanos and Canovanas Chupacabras.

The San Juan Metropolitanos picked up a win at Campo de los Chupacabras, downing the Canovanas Chupacabras, 6-2. On the mound for San Juan was right-hander José Guzmán, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the victory, the Metropolitanos upped their record to 85-81.

With no one out in the top of the fourth, José Cortés put San Juan in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Metropolitanos went on to win the ballgame.

"We have a lot of confidence in José," said San Juan manager Gus Alberts.
