The first-place Naguabo Navegadores picked up another win.

The Naguabo Navegadores topped the Catano Guardacostas, 10-3, in Liga Betances action at La Timonera. The standout performance belonged to Naguabo pitcher and Houston, La Frontera, native Ted Balloon. The Navegadores improved to a lofty 136-29.

Frank del Castillo had a big 2-run double for the Navegadores in the bottom of the first inning. With Naguabo leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Pablo Cuevas and swatted a double to left. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Navegadores ahead, 3-0.

Naguabo manager Herminio Salcedo Díaz commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
