The Patillas Cuervos picked up a win at Estadio Municipal de Arroyo, knocking off the Arroyo Telegrafistas, 5-3. Starting pitcher Armando Rodríguez played a key role in the triumph. Rodríguez got the win, improving to 28-11. He gave up 11 hits and walked 2 over 10 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The Cuervos, at 106-60, sit in first place in the Liga Betances Sureste.

Matthew Cowan's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a sinker from Solón Báez to center for a 2-run single. It put Patillas in front, 4-2.

"Winning is the only objective," said Cowan after the game.
