Fading Telegrafistas Lose 6th Straight
The San Juan Metropolitanos picked up a win at Estadio Capitolino, knocking off the Arroyo Telegrafistas, 4-3. On the mound for San Juan was right-hander Gabriel Acuña. He played a key role in the triumph. Paulino Hernandes earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. After today's action, San Juan sits at 83-76; Arroyo slips to 80-82.

San Juan went in front, 4-3, on Lester Burton's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Burton hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Arroyo pitcher Cosme Méndez visibly perturbed.
