The Maunabo Artilleros withstood an impressive performance by Aguas Buenas second baseman Thomas Larue to defeat the Mulos, 6-5, at Recinto Atlético del Sureste. Larue went 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. With the loss, Aguas Buenas sinks to 16-16.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Artilleros sent 20-year-old pinch hitter Mario Castillo to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put Maunabo on top, 5-4.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Castillo.
