Doroteo Casillas, who is on pace for 215 strikeouts this season, imposed his will on the Murcielagos from the get-go. Relying mainly on his splitter, the left-hander spearheaded the 4-0 Lajas triumph. Casillas, the winner, moves to 11-20. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. The Marcianos raised their record to 69-89.

Lajas got a big at-bat from Wishaw, Scotland native Rhys Clark, who in the top of the sixth hit a run-scoring triple. It was his 8th triple of the season and put the Marcianos ahead, 2-0.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Camuy manager Juan Romero.
