Picudos Win with Late Heroics
The Ceiba Picudos picked up a win at Campo de los Picudos, taking down the Yauco Corsos, 5-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for Ceiba was right-hander Uranio Mata. He played a central role in the triumph. The setback makes Yauco 62-95.

The Picudos got a clutch hit from designated hitter Menendo Tafoya. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Picudos.

"I'll be honest," said Mata. "I'm not sure I could've thrown another pitch."
