The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Trujillo Alto Macabeos picked up a win at Campo de los Macabeos, dropping the Carolina Tumbabrazos, 5-3. Eugenio Hernández, who is tied for 8th in the LH in strikeouts with 180, was the difference-maker. Hernández, now 25-15, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs.

Generoso Rivera, who finished 2nd in the LH in triples with 29 last year, had an important at-bat. With one out in the bottom of the sixth, he hit a run-scoring triple. His 26th triple of the season put Trujillo Alto on top, 4-2.
