Galanes Rally Late to Clip Patillas

The Ciales Galanes and Patillas Cuervos obliged fans looking for a good time.
The Ciales Galanes grabbed a win, 7-6, over the Patillas Cuervos at Parque de los Galanes. Ciales shortstop Euríalo Menchaca went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bob Gibson, the winner, goes to 17-20. He allowed 6 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts over 8 innings. Michael Allan, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.
Ciales took a 7-5 lead on Menchaca's 13th triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which he hit off Celedonio Soto in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Ciales to the win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Menchaca told the Ciales Times. "It's as simple as that."
At 73-76, Ciales is in first place in the Liga Betances Centro.
