Catano starter Pablo Cuevas put a stranglehold on the Yauco offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Guardacostas to a 3-1 win. Cuevas, now 23-8, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Guardacostas are now 75-75, while the Corsos fall to 61-89.

François Bellet helped out the Catano cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk.
