Zacarías Gutiérrez was locked in. The right-hander led the Juncos Valencianos to a 3-1 win against the Aguadilla Colmillos at Coliseo de los Valencianos. Gutiérrez got the win, improving to 5-8. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Alrigo Sánchez came through for Juncos when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike fastball to right field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Valencianos manager Roberto Calvo. "This one was nice to get."

Juncos now sits at 60-88, while Aguadilla falls to 67-81.
