Coamo beat Dorado in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Coamo Termales topped the Dorado Ejemplares, 11-6, at Estadio Graciano Figueroa. Coamo left fielder Ladislao Torres was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3-5 with 2 triples and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The Termales lead the Liga Betances Metro Sur by 23 games.

Torres contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Coamo in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Torres took a fastball from Cristón López and stroked the triple to right-center. His 30th triple of the season allowed the Termales to leap in front, 2-1.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Torres.
