The Ponce Senores picked up a win at Estadio Radamés Martínez, knocking off the Corozal Mofongueros, 3-2. On the mound for Ponce was left-hander Alcides Camacho. He played a key role in the triumph. In 9 innings, Camacho surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, Ponce goes to 85-62, while the Mofongueros fall to 95-51.
Marcos López drove in one run for Ponce. With no one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, López, who finished 2nd in the LH in doubles with 40 in 1902, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Corozal hurler Samuel Medina, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Senores a 3-2 lead.
