Quesiteros Absorb 5-4 Home Loss
|
The Isabela Quesiteros got a superb performance from right fielder Corcoran Howell, but the Vieques Esqueletos still won the game, 5-4. Howell was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Francisco Santos earned his 5th save in 6 chances. Vieques raised its record to 80-64 with the win.
Zacarías Martínez, the Vieques shortstop, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to make the score 5-1, Esqueletos. For the game, Martínez went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
