The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
Coamo turned a good effort from starter Ewan Mackenzie into a win over the Salinas Pescadores at Estadio Graciano Figueroa. The final score was 3-2. Mackenzie got the win, improving to 21-16. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs.
Coamo took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Driscoll Dolan hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Termales in front, 2-1.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Mackenzie. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
The Liga Betances Metro Sur-leading Termales have a record of 88-58.
