The first-place Penuelas Guiristas picked up another win.

The Penuelas Guiristas picked up a win at Estadio de Peñuelas, dropping the Yauco Corsos, 5-4. Scott Peterson was the difference-maker. At 77-68, the Guiristas claim first place in the Liga Betances Sur.

With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the third inning, third baseman Bob Moulds delivered big for the Guiristas. Penuelas was trailing 4-0 when he belted a 3-run home run.

"Scott gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Penuelas manager Constantino Ríos.
