|
Santa Isabel left fielder Álvar Guillén had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Guillén was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Dorado beat the Corceles, 9-7. Quentin Taylor, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-7. He pitched 8.2 innings, giving up 13 hits and 7 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Juan Monroy was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
With two out in the bottom of the second, Felipe Larios put Dorado in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The Ejemplares went on to win the ballgame.
