The Luquillo Soles got effective pitching from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Aldo Hernández. The 1.68 m, 72 kg Hernández muzzled the Hormigueros offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Parque de los Romeros. Hernández yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 8-20. The Soles saw their win-loss record go to 58-85. At the same time, the Romeros fell to 76-65.
Prisco Santiago provided a timely hit. The Luquillo first baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Soles on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
