Santos Take Nail-Biter Over Arribenos
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Flavio Figueroa, the Adjuntas Santos defeated the Utuado Arribenos, 9-8. Figueroa was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs for the Santos. The first-place Santos are now 76-66, the Arribenos 62-78.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, slick-fielding second baseman Jaiden Shelton had a chance to be the hero. Utuado pitcher Miguel García had other ideas. But with one out, Shelton hit a sacrifice fly. The Santos had themselves a dramatic win.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Shelton said.
