Tainos Topple Matadioses, 5-2, as Carlos Shines
|
Gurabo left fielder Juan Carlos helped his team beat the Anasco Matadioses, 5-2. Carlos, who is tied for 2nd in the LH in total bases with 62, went 3 for 4 for the Tainos. Gurabo pitcher Nuño González got the win, upping his record to 6-0. Luis Delgado got the loss. The win gives Gurabo a record of 17-8.
Carlos had a key at-bat for Gurabo early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and gave Gurabo an early 1-0 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Carlos said.
