In a low-scoring contest between the Halifax Batteries and the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens, 24-year old left-handed pitcher José Aguirre proved to be the difference. The Halifax left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Batteries win. Aguirre got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The loss makes Trois-Rivieres 12-12.

In the bottom of the sixth, Halifax center fielder Enrique Costello put his team on top. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit his 4th triple of the year. Trois-Rivieres pitcher Faro Ruiz served it up. Just like that, the Batteries were ahead, 2-1.

Halifax manager John Hatfield commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
