Insulaires Rally Late to Nip Supercalandres
The Laval Insulaires did just enough to sneak past the Lachute Supercalandres, 3-2, at Insulaires Field. Laval pitcher Fernando Aguilar, in particular, had a standout performance. Nerón Chávez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Laval has a record of 11-13.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the second when Emérico García hit a 2-run double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Eduardo Ayala to win the game for Laval. The home crowd went wild.

"I thought we competed really well," said Insulaires manager Elias Peak. "I thought the energy was really good."
