Dodgers Move on to Round 2 Friday, September 3rd , 2004 The championship dreams are still alive for the GCL Dodgers, while it's back to the drawing board for the GCL Orioles. By a score of 2-0, GCL won the decisive game at Twin Lakes Park today. The Dodgers took the series 4-2. Matt Ellington of the Dodgers was named the Round 1 MVP. "All our guys are really focused winning the Round 2," Ellington said. "I'm not too concerned about personal awards." The GCL Dodgers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the GCL Phillies - GCL Royals series. GCL leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
