Kown Shuts Out Lake Elsinore, 7-0 Monday, May 4th , 2009 Andrew Kown hurled nothing but zeros at the Lake Elsinore Storm in an impressive outing at Storm Stadium. The Inland Empire pitcher allowed 5 hits, fanned 11, and walked 2 in blanking Lake Elsinore, 7-0. "There were a lot of frustrated guys walking back to the dugout," Lake Elsinore manager Brian Grimes said. "Not a fun day." Kown has made 5 starts, tossed 35.1 innings, struck out 38 batters and walked 10. His record is 2-1 with a 2.80 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .176 batting average. |
