Mattox Breezes to Shutout Victory Wednesday, June 22nd , 2005 Vero Beach were shut out, 4-0, by D.J. Mattox and the Palm Beach Cardinals at Holman Stadium. The Dodgers offered little resistance to Mattox, who stopped them on 3 hits, fanned 8 and walked 2. "It just felt right today," the right-handed Mattox told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm." So far this season, Mattox has compiled a 4-3 record with a 2.05 ERA. |
