Hagerstown Blanks Augusta Behind Raab
Sunday, July 6th , 2003
Kellen Raab was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Augusta GreenJackets on 1 hit.
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Augusta manager Brent Van Lent after the 2-0 loss to the Hagerstown Suns.
Raab finished with 4 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.
In the postgame press conference, Hagerstown manager Jaden Washington said Raab "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
In 16 starts this season, Raab has notched a 3-6 record and a 2.08 ERA.
