Braves Edgar Alberto Garcia Will Miss Season Sunday, July 9th , 2006 The season is apparently over for Edgar Alberto Garcia. The Rome Braves medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 7-8 months with a ruptured disc. Garcia was hurt in the game against Hagerstown while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. To date he has nailed down 0 saves for his club. In 17 relief appearances, Garcia has 32 strikeouts in 45.1 innings with a 2.38 ERA and a 2-2 mark. |
