Saldana Baffles Savannah Batters Saturday, June 12th , 2004 Jose Saldana of the Charleston RiverDogs toyed with the Savannah Sand Gnats, as he shut them out, 10-0, at The Joe Ballpark. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 2-hitter with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Saldana said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." In 12 starts this year, Saldana has crafted a 5-2 record and a 2.17 ERA. |
