EL Honors Kemp, Best Hitter in April Saturday, May 1st , 2004 Matt Kemp is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Reading center fielder joined that select company when the Eastern League announced the results of April's voting. Kemp totaled 25 hits, 2 walks, 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 13 runs scored last month to put together a .385 batting average and .412 on-base percentage. |
