Victoriaville On Top of Sub League 1 East Division Thursday, September 5th , 1991 The Victoriaville Chameleons are trying to accomplish something that's never been done before - hosting a World Series parade in the city of Victoriaville. They've taken the first big step, winning the Sub League 1 East Division title. "We want to win a championship, that's our ultimate goal and something our franchise deserves," said right fielder Jeffrey Hammonds. "Our coaches, GM and ownership have been behind us, it's time to make that effort pay off." The club's record sits at 45-20 and it is the 0 time they've won the division title. Team manager Matt Nuce said it will be the "accomplishment of a lifetime" if he can lead the team to a championship. "It's what we've been working towards for so long," he said. |
