Gonzalez Wins Best Bat Trophy in August Sunday, September 1st , 1991 Paul Gonzalez put together a good August to earn the Sub League 2 Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Hermon officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Jet Hawks third baseman posted a .327 batting average with 12 home runs, 31 RBIs and 20 runs scored. So far this year Gonzalez has 32 home runs and a .258 batting average. |
