World Series Sweep to Catbirds

The Garland Catbirds made it look easy today as they collected the 2nd World Series championship in club history.

They swept the Columbus Victory in straight games, winning the series 4-0. The Catbirds disposed of Columbus 3-2 in the series finale at Columbus Grounds.

"They were the better team this year, no doubt about it," said Victory manager Chris Bernard.

During the regular season, Garland put up a 86-54 record and finished first in the Sub League 1 West Division.
