Manni Shackles Louisville
Monday, September 2nd , 1991
It was not a good day at the plate for the Louisville War Eagles. They came up empty when it mattered against St. Petersburg Donkeys right-hander Brian Manni, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the War Eagles scoreless.
"We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Louisville manager Art Howe said later.
Manni chalked up 8 strikeouts and no walks in the 9-0 Donkeys win.
This year Manni has worked 139.1 innings with 117 strikeouts en route to a 6-11 record and 4.59 ERA.
