Sinkhorn Humbles Wichita, 2-0 Saturday, August 31st , 1991 Chris Sinkhorn blitzed the Wichita Spiders at Grand Slam Ballpark today, pitching the Little Rock Grand Slam to victory, 2-0. Sinkhorn needed 9 innings to shut out the Spiders, striking out 7. "I knew he had it in him, but it's still nice to see him put it all together," said Little Rock manager Jim Cunningham. Sinkhorn surrendered 9 hits and 2 walks in the outing. Sinkhorn has made 14 starts, tossed 116 innings, struck out 97 batters and walked 49. His record is 7-6 with a 3.26 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .227 batting average. |
