Stubbs Belts 5 Hits Wednesday, September 23rd , 2009 It was a parade of hits for Drew Stubbs of the Cincinnati Reds at Wrigley Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Stubbs finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Reds to a win, 7-0. "Stubbs was really good and we were really bad," groaned Cubs manager Don Cubs. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Drew Stubbs doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Currently Stubbs has 21 home runs and a .294 batting average.
