Wildcard Goes the Distance, Texas Prevails

The Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Devil Rays put on a classic Wildcard that was in question until the final game.
In the end, Texas won the deciding contest by a score of 2-1, to take the series 2-1.
"It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said T.J. Holley, who earned series MVP honors for Texas. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now."
For the series, Holley hit .462 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 1 runs.
The Texas Rangers will play against the Los Angeles Angels in the next round. Los Angeles had a bye in the Wildcard . The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard finishes.
