Tigers Not Competitive in 6-0 Loss to Minnesota
Saturday, September 16th , 2006
Jin-ho Cho of the Minnesota Twins spun his magic on the Detroit Tigers. He blanked them, 6-0, on 3 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Cho said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Minnesota skipper Chris S said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
"Jin-ho pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
This year, Cho has fashioned a 12-13 mark, 3.82 ERA and pitched 219.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .260 against him and he has logged 162 strikeouts.
