Cubs Squelch Brewers Offense in Shutout Win
|
In a low-scoring contest, Chicago pitcher David Price was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. Price got the win, improving to 4-15. He gave up 2 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The Cubs raised their record to 56-96.
The Cubs got a big at-bat from left fielder Nate McLouth. For the game, McLouth was 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 32nd double of the season gave Chicago a 1-0 lead.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said McLouth.
